Rolex: Daydate 36mm RoseGold with Roman Numerals from Q Factory QF (comparison to Auth)

I recently acquired an authentic Rolex Day-Date 36mm in rose gold, and I absolutely adore it! However, there are certain occasions when I prefer not to wear my genuine watch. As a result, I decided to invest in a replica of the same model, keeping in mind that the replica would not be an exact match to the solid gold original.
Through my research on Reptime, I found that the best replica 36mm Day-Date comes from the Q Factory. I purchased mine from a seller on the 1668 subreddit, known as DeLoveG.

Timeline:
December 9: I inquired about the QF Factory watch and made the payment on the same day. January 1: After sending the PSP, she shipped it to me the same day upon my approval. January 7: The package was received by Aramex in my country.
Overall Appearance: 8/10
The replica closely resembles the authentic design, featuring a similar case shape, fluted bezel, and President bracelet. At first glance, it can appear convincing to those unfamiliar with Rolex craftsmanship.
I would consider wearing it in situations where I’m unlikely to encounter others with the same watch or those familiar with the brand, such as in low-light environments or places where I wouldn’t be engaging with fellow enthusiasts.
Dial Design: 6/10
Authentic: The dial features diamond hour markers with uniform size and placement, and the lettering (e.g., “ROLEX,” “OYSTER PERPETUAL DAY-DATE”) is perfectly crisp and precise.
Replica: has Roman numeral hour markers The font of the day window and date font lacks the bold, clean appearance of the authentic watch.
Text and Lettering:
Authentic: The text on the dial is flawless, with sharp edges, even spacing, and no signs of smudging or inconsistency.
Replica: The “ROLEX” and other text on the dial lack the same level of sharpness and precision. It appears slightly faded or less detailed upon close inspection. The crown logo below the 12 o’clock marker is less refined in comparison to the authentic
Cyclops Lens & Date Magnification
Authentic: The Cyclops lens magnifies the date at 2.5x, making it appear large and clear. The date is centered in the window.
Replica: The magnification to my untrained eyes appears to be less than 2.5x, making the date appear smaller and less prominent.
Bezel Quality: 8/10
Authentic: The fluted bezel reflects light with sharp, precise grooves that are uniform and perfectly crafted.
Replica: The grooves on the bezel are less defined and lack the sharp precision of the authentic model. The overall finish doesn’t reflect light as consistently, indicating a difference in material and craftsmanship obviously as it is a replica of 50K USD watch.
Bracelet Quality: 9/10
Authentic: The President bracelet is constructed from solid gold, with polished center links and brushed outer links. It has a smooth, seamless finish and a substantial weight.
Replica: The bracelet looks very similar but appears less polished and possibly lighter in weight. The engraving on the clasp from the inside is similar but authentic again has bold font and different gold stamps.
Crown on the side: It has the same two dots underneath the crown which matches the authentic that its made of gold.
Clasp: Also very similar crowns! Exactly the same closing mechanism of the authentic watch.
Crystal: They're very similar i cant tell an obvious difference, they're both set on the same level.
Rehaut: The crown is aligned with teeny weeny crown
Weight and Materials:
Authentic: Made from 18k gold, the authentic Rolex Day-Date is noticeably heavy and feels luxurious. It weighs 178.8 grams – on my kitchen scale- considering that I removed links to fit my wrist size which is around 16 or 16.5.
Replica: It is made of a material called tungsten and gold wrapped. Weighs 144.9 – on my kitchen scale- considering that I removed links to fit my wrist size which is around 16 or 16.5
Movement
Authentic: certified Swiss chronometer movement with a smooth second-hand sweep (28,800 beats per hour).
Replica: it is a clone of the authentic watch im not sure of the power reserve to be honest if it matches with the authentic as i didn't pay attention to the timegrapher. I am wearing this watch as a piece of jewelry 🤭
Conclusion
The watch on the right is a well-made replica but shows significant differences in quality, craftsmanship, and details compared to the authentic Rolex Day-Date on the left. Key indicators of a replica include: Less precise text, markers, and fonts. Subpar magnification and alignment of the Cyclops lens. Inferior bezel and bracelet finishing. lighter weight due to the use of lower-grade materials.
Satisfactions 10/10:
For 1.6% of the cost of the authentic, I am sooo happy and over the moon with this watch! I know i gave it smaller rating but again keep in mind am comparing it to the authentic and not factory pictures. I didnt want to get into too many details and tried to keep it as simple as possible.
Seller communication 10/10:
DeLoveG she is very sweet but like most Chinese seller she doesn't speak English! I choose her because she offered the best prices for this watch; specifically that most sellers are sourcing from the same factories.
