How can Once Human keep attracting new players?

convinced a friend of mine to try out the game, he installed and joined my server.
he got instantly hit in the face with over 8 different timers and deadlines.
After playing with me for a few hours, he has not since touched the game again.

As we all know the only way for pvp modes to survive is to constantly be fed new players, how is once human intending to solve this issue where the game has become insanely new player unfriendly?
