PSLF - should I even bother?
I graduated grad school in 2022 and started working that fall, started my payments the next fall(2023) because of the forbearance. So I’ve been paying and work somewhere that can get me pslf. I didn’t know about the certifying employment every year so I haven’t done anything except be on a SAVE plan. Now I’m in forbearance again.
Should I even bother trying to certify employment right now? I’ve never done it and it seems complicated and at this point I don’t have faith this will even be an option for me since I have 9 payments total on these loans due to constant forbearance.
I have basically no hope because I’m already paying private loans and that monthly payment is high and now these loans aren’t making progress towards pslf or anything else so at this point I’m about to give up.
Update: I contacted my HR to get the certification process going. Thanks for all the help!
