Can I undervolt the 7800xt for better power consumption?

I am in the UK so electricity costs more than in the US. I decided to buy a 7800xt over the 4070 but realized over a period of 4 years the extra power could close the price gap. I've heard about undervolt and its benefits but as this is a new GPU I just wanted to check you can still safely Undervolt it. I dont know how to undervolt but I can look up a you tube guide for that. I assume you use msi afterbuner
