Is an employer required to pay your accrewed PTO when you resign?

Our paid time off always renewed on the new year. I put in my resignation on January 20th. I told them my last day would be March 15th. They will owe me 3 weeks paid if I don't take any days off before March 15. It's about 5k worth of pay. Thanks in advance.
