What Should Be in a Recommendation Letter

I’m asking my PI for a recommendation letter, and they want me to indicate any key points that I want them to include. What makes a good LOR? What traits are REU programs looking for?

I have been part of the lab since my freshman year and have received a lot of positive energy and encouraging feedback from my PI and mentors. How can I make sure that comes across in the LOR?
