Making an NPC disappear when entering a different area

Hello! I'm fairly new to rpg maker mz. I've been using for around a week now, but I'm going insane.

There are two NPCs that block your way in an area and I want to make it so, that when you go away into your home , which is a completely different area, they disappear.

Does anyone know how to do this? All replies are greatly appreciated.
