Can’t Seem to get a Safety Job

I just graduated in October 2024 with BS in Occupational Safety and Health and can’t seem to get a job. I don’t have work experience in a safety position but I do have experience/skills at my current job. Also, I have a few certifications as well.

I’ve had 3-4 interviews but nothing more. Two of those interviews, I’ve had them not acknowledge my degree or ask what else do I have in work experience or additional schooling.

Im just curious if anyone is having issues as well. Yes, I went to Columbia Southern University which is apparently a no-no. However, it was a full ride for me so I took it. And yes, I had no idea of the CSU stigma before attending, which it seems like it’s too late now and I may be paying the price.
