Having trouble with middle D on my Alto Sax
I'm a complete beginner and I have been playing for hours daily for almost a week now. Most notes sound fine (acceptable) except for the middle D. I find it a bit harder to blow, and the tone it produces is quite inconsistent, such that I cannot rely on it to produce the pitch I want when I am covering a song.
What would be a "healthy" way to address this issue? Should I keep on working the same fingering while making various adjustments to my embouchure to produce a more consistent tone?
Or should I look for alternate fingerings? Although I feel like using alternate fingerings would be looking for an easy way out "cheating" on working on my embouchure.
