Outie Security Guard Only For Mark?

On S1E5 when Helly attempts to hang herself in the elevator, there is no security guard to help her on the outie side. But when mark goes up moments later, the security guard is just getting to his desk and looks as if he hadn’t just witnessed someone dangling by their neck. Is the security guard only there for mark or is he just bad at his job being away from his desk?
