My theory: Cobelvig is Gemma’s mother

Ok so this is a bit far fetched but the last scene of S2, E2 makes me think that Cobelvig is probably Gemma’s mother or something. She used to work at Lumon and when got to know about Gemma and Mark’s accident, Gemma was probably dying but Cobel knew that Lumon was working on something like resurrecting people from the dead but she knew Mark wouldn’t approve of that so she tricked him into believing that Gemma’s dead and brought Gemma to Lumon.

She didn’t account for it but when Mark also joined Lumon, she decided to keep a close eye on him too hence the Mrs. Selvig. But some things have gone haywire so now that Mark mentioned Gemma in the last scene of E2 of S2, she loses it and starts screaming, almost runs over Mark.
