Brunhilde afraid of going against Anubis?
This is going to be a bit of a yap session, if you want to skip to the point, skip to the last paragraph
There are 3 rounds left maximum, out of which, humanity needs to win 2 in order to survive. If humanity wins both round 11 and 12, round 13 will be skipped as humanity has already reached 7 wins. This means, that even in the worst case scenerio for the gods, at least one among Loki, Odin, and Anubis will survive.
I bring this up because Loki seems to actually love Brunhilde. When he went to her and offered her protection, I think he was being genuine and not just trying to black mail her. My evidence for this, is that he’s never threatened direct harm to Brunhilde unlike other gods (Thor Beel etc), he seems genuinely sad about her decisions, and the fact that the doll wasn’t scratched despite him tearing up his room in the most recent chapter.
Brunhilde has the capability of returning the favor to Loki. She could ask him to go in round 13, and then win both round 11 and 12, there by preventing Lokis round and guaranteeing he survives. But of course, Brunhilde’s main priority is winning, not saving Loki. No sacrifice is too great for Brunhilde, not her own life, not her sister’s lives, not Heracles life, and not Lokis life either.
If Brunhilde were given the choice, she would pick the opponent that she has the best chance of defeating. The only exception to this is Odin, partially because she wants revenge on Odin, and partially because killing Odin prevents his plan. Brunhilde wants Odin to fight, no matter what, and if it were up to her she would pick Odin to fight in round 11. But she doesn’t have that power, so she needs to force Odin to fight, by reaching game point (6 wins), because at that point Odin will need to step in the ring himself to try an guarantee a win.
*All this is to say, Brunhilde wants to kill Odin, meaning only one other god needs to die between Loki and Anubis. Loki has tried to be nice to her (his version of being nice), and Brunhilde likely also knows Loki much better than she knows Anubis. She also likely cares more for Loki (same pantheon and they seem to know each other well) than she does for Anubis (who I’m assuming is just a random strong god to her). Despite everything, despite Loki trying to save her, Brunhilde goes out of her way to ask Loki to essentially fight and die. The mere fact that she wants Loki to go in round 11 instead of Anubis must mean she’s wayyy more confident in beating Loki than she is in beating Anubis for what ever reason. In fact, she’s so much more confident in beating Loki compared to Anubis, that she doesn’t even suggest to herself the idea of potentially saving Loki by taking the risk of fighting against Anubis. Anubis might turn out to be crazy strong. Either that or Simo hard counters Loki to the extreme. I’m guessing it’s a mix of both, Simo hard countering Loki, and Anubis being insanely strong.
