Why such a huge difference between download and upload?

Why is there such a huge difference between the download and upload speeds with WiFi? I'm getting 297.91 down, and only 11.35 up, with Spectrum's WiFi, and 498.59/ 11.53 with the TP-Link Deco mesh.The Deco satellite keeps almost the same download speed, but has 0 upload speed!
