Extremely minor 1.6 spoiler

I have the new statue of blessings and I keep getting the "Blessing of the Butterfly", which "spawns a prismatic butterfly somewhere in the Valley". However, despite running all around all day every time I can never seem to actually find it. Today though, I got the blessing in the morning and went to check my basement cellar to see if my wine was finished, and right before I went down I suddenly saw a prismatic butterfly flying around in the blank space to the lower left of the inside of my house. I noticed this too late, however, and went down into the cellar. When I came back up it was nowhere to be found, so I can't screenshot for proof.

This is the only time I've actually seen the butterfly in the game and I can't seem to find much info about it online. Was this just a visual bug? An actual bug causing it to spawn there where I can't get to it and thats why I can never find it? Is the reason I can never find it just a skill issue?
