Instant Karma hits my mum

Sooo i'm currently at my nani ke ghar (village), where Saraswati Puja celebrations are in full swing aka multiple fun events. Today was the final event, Didi No. 1 (A popular Bengali game show celebrating womanhood and sisterhood, where women from diverse backgrounds engage in fun games, challenges, and personal discussions). Each team had two members, and my mom was supposed to pair with my massi (not sagi, parosi), but due to some issues, she had to team up with an older lady (50s) instead. I had offered to be her partner, but she refused, saying my weak Bengali (i grew up in another state) would hold her back. Ironically, her new partner ended up dragging her down instead 😭😭 her peers even pointed out that she should have chosen me, as I would have done well. After struggling through the first round (out of six), she instantly regretted her choice. Though she didn’t finish last, she realized that teaming up with me would have given her a better shot at winning. She said, she’s choosing me next time, no matter what! :p
