Is this legit sak yant?
Is this place legit? Or is it more of a fake tourist trap? There are a few things which throw me off. The adjarns seem young. If it takes years to learn it wouldn’t the adjarns be a bit older? The fact they offer machine sak yant, other tattoos, and piercings throws me off as well. Lastly, their tattooing place looks too much like a studio. All these things makes it seem off to me.
Please let me know what you think.
Edit: I’m not a white American. I’m a brown girl born in Austria. I was brought up in a syncretic household, with Buddhism being part of it. I follow 5 precepts since a long time. My ancestors are from the area where Buddhism emerged. My ancestors were prosecuted by the Hindus for being Buddhist. I believe in these tattoos. I’m travelling there just for the Sak Yant. Im not going for sight seeing or anything like that. I believe in the tattoos. I respect the culture. I practice the religion. Pls do not accuse me of being a white American trying to look cool. Stop assuming. I know the sak yant is independent to Buddhism…I read it was created even before Buddhism arrived there. Yet I believe in it.
Thank you. Namo Buddhay
