Need Tonsillectomy Advice

I (22f) had my surgery on 11/20 (Day 0), it is now the evening of Day 2 for me. I have a few big questions/points

  1. I have a job interview scheduled for Monday morning (Day 5) over zoom. I can barely speak right now so if it does not improve by then I am worried about my ability to do the interview. I haven't said anything to them yet about rescheduling, bc I was just hoping I'd be somewhat better enough to do it by day 5? It's also now past 5 on a Friday so I feel like I should have said something earlier. Lmk any advice for this.
  2. The one than I can do is drink a lot of fluids because I feel the need to wash down mucus/gunk/anything that gets stuck back there. Is there any chance that the scabs might just dissolve and not fall off painfully around day 7 since I kept them so moist?
  3. I've gotten a lot of mixed advice on ibuprofen. I was told not to take it because of the risk of bleeding. I took a dose last night despite that, and it made me feel significantly better. I've taken a few doses now, but am trying to avoid it because of bleeding. I dont know if the dry mouth caused by the narcotics is worse than the risk with the ibuprofen. I also saw online you can take ibuprofen 24 hours after surgery, but on other sites saw to avoid it for 2 weeks. It's really helping me ween off of the narcotics so I'd like some advice on this.
  4. Any advice on constipation/stool softeners? I haven't pooped since the day before the surgery 11/19. I dont really feel that bad/constipated bc I haven't been eating that that much. I know laxatives can dehydrate so I haven't done that yet. My boyfriend is visiting starting on 11/25, so I'd like to get unconstipated before then so it's not an issue while he is here. Any advice for this?
