Taking a dog to Trieste

Hello everyone!

My family (parents, brother and I) are visiting Trieste for 4 days in the first week of August. According to the internet, Trieste is very much a dog city. However, this could be different from a visitor’s perspective, of course.

Our dog loves water, so I guess my questions are: would you recommend us having a dog sitter take care of the dog or should we take her with us? If she is not allowed to visit any of the beaches and the city is unbearably hot, bringing her along with us would probably not be in her best interest.
