Why Bother Taking Any Notes When Lecture Handouts are Given?
Hi r/UniUK! I am a law student looking for advice on note taking - for every course of mine, a document for lecture handout is offered. They are more concise than reading materials and more detailed than slides. However, the problem I'm facing is that I'm very demotivated to take any notes knowing that I could just use them for revision, but then feel like I am not engaging with the material enough... For the past year I have found my personal notes to be less structured and complete than the handouts, which makes them useless when it comes to revision. Has these lecture handouts always been a thing, or are they newly-added handholding from unis since covid times? Am I just taking notes wrong? Would hugely appreciate any suggestions!!
