Help me not throw this Shark away

I have a Shark Rotator model ZU55 U4.

It sucked up a shoelace that wrapped around the brush. We pulled it out, no problem. Now its making a loud buzzing grinding sound and I can't figure out what's wrong for the life of me. Brushes and belt look fine, but don't sound fine. When I take the bottom plate off and rotate the brush by hand it clicks/grinds but moves fine. It won't let me add a video or I'd show you. Please help.
