May 2025 wedding. Is this too white?
Hi, everyone! My friend is a May 2025 bride. She is having her ceremony in an old warehouse (that description does not do the venue justice, but that's exactly what it is) and told our group chat to "bring out your inner princesses" with what we wear. A few guests (including myself) plan on wearing various dresses from the brand Selkie. For context on what dresses other guests are wearing, I am wearing this dress that the bride sent me and I know another one of our friends is wearing this. We definitely are going for some of their more princess-y options on the website and it's making the bride super excited.
The dress in question was sent by a childhood friend of the groom. She captioned it "I just ordered this one!" Nobody has said anything to her yet, but the bride, her mom, and I were out together when she sent this. The MOB and I are not in agreement. She thinks it won't look white in person and the background is making it look white. I think it's too much and that Selkie has tons of other options that aren't almost white. I think our disagreement is affecting the bride's perspective, so I was hoping an unbiased third party could weigh in.
