Cost breakdown and pictures

I’m still waiting for the rest of our pictures but I wanted to post some from our sneak peek and give a breakdown of costs. I think we ended up around 85 people. We had a few people who didn’t rsvp contact us last minute if they could come which worked out since we had a few people who had to cancel last minute.

We had our wedding at a local wedding barn and we live in mid Michigan.

We had so much fun and so did our guests. It was the best day and I’m so glad I got to marry my favorite person. His vows were amazing and had everyone laughing and crying.

Venue - $1942, we had the venue from Friday to Sunday morning to allow for set up and clean up. The $42 was the cc fee since we wanted the miles.

Food - $1155.40, we did a taco/nacho bar from a local caterer.

Photographer - $3000, I wanted nice pictures so this was our biggest expense. I wasn’t too happy with a few things with her, but overall, I like the pictures we’ve gotten back and can’t wait to see the others.

DJ - $900, there were a few miscommunications that we should have made more clear.

Hair - $200

Make up - free, my sister is a MUA

Dress - $104.70, azazie

Ties/pocket squares - $101.53

Tux - $200, men’s warehouse

Veils - $39.46, SHEIN, I had ordered 9 because I wasn’t sure what I wanted. My hair stylist offered to make me something using different parts from the veils. I loved what she made - it was perfect. She didn’t charge me for it. She made me two different ones.

Decorations - $400, my mom did all the decorations. We had a mix of real and fake, this includes our bouquets that she did

Dance lessons - $850, we had a choreographed first dance. Lessons were a lot of fun and even though we went a little too fast, everyone liked it 🤍

Alcohol and donuts - $743.11, his parents paid for it, we had an open bar and it was self serve. We had wine, beer, hard cider and seltzer.

Rehearsal dinner - $414.61 pizza, his parents paid for it, we had pop, beer and seltzer as well

Rings - $124.33, I used my engagement ring for the wedding but bought two different bands to use for everyday wear. His and one of my bands were from Etsy and my other one I bought on our honeymoon.

Misc stuff - $397.06, just a mix of last minute items

There might be things I’m forgetting, but the total is $10,522.20 We were so close!

The last 6 pictures were taken by friends/family.

My husband likes wrestling so I bought him the cooler belt for a surprise when we went downtown for a couple of pictures. I wanted to recreate Ben and Leslie’s picture from their wedding on Parks and Rec.

I had posted up about wearing black shoes and got such a negative response on the wedding planning sun, that I ended up deleting. I love how my shoes look and tie in with his tux. They were suede Kate Spade shoes I bought a few years ago that were too expensive and had only worn once for like a half hour.
