Where tf do I start in Gym?

For context I'm 18 and I am overweight, obese. For the past week I have been in a calorie deficit and I count my calories through weight scale, and I walk around 6k a day but my diet don't consist of much protein and I don't strength train so it is quite obvious if I go down that path, I will lose weight but I will also lose muscle.

So I want to start gym and increase my protein intake. The protien intake part is easier to understand but where from tf do I start in Gym? There are sooo many different equipments, what weight should I use? How many days should I go? What equipment target what muscle? I just have countless questions man and I can't find a good in-depth YouTube video on it either.
