The battle of kuri in a nutshell
the empire of veskalta broke the treaty they had with the kobolds, invading them and attempting to crush the remaining territories of koboldaza with their entire army. During the battle of kuri they brought their entire army to bare, seeking to destroy the entire kobold army in one fowl swoop, this didn’t go well, the entire army was massacred and the emperor was killed.
The kobold king supposedly stood on a pile of human corpses and held the head of the emperor aloft, signaling the defeat of the empire and a victory for kobold kind, though that is most likely an embellishment. Some kobold murals depict him instead standing on the head of a wyvern holding it out, which is what likely actually happened.
His skull to this day is a trophy of the purplescale clan used as the topping of their regalia and included in their crest.
