I Hate Nessian after ACOSF...

Nesta x Cassian was my favourite ship every since they were hinted at. I loved their chemistry and the way they challenged each other.

I truly believed that these two together would help each other through their respective traumas. I was desperate for their book after the scene where Cassian told Nesta he would find her in next life - next world.

But the ACOSF dropped and all my expectations were completely dashed.

There were so many problems in their relationship 😭😭

The way Cassian thinks of Mor? That's no way to think of a friend or sister, as he claims her to be. He sounded in love. He also gifted her matching lingerie in the novella.ew.

The way he acts when caught between Nesta and Rhysand. In this book, Rhysand acts like the evil mother in law, always showing up to cause conflict between the couple and asking Cassian choose him over her like " Is this woman better than the mother (brother) who gave birth to you (saved you)?!!!" And Cassian acts like the pushover son in a soap opera and allows this budding relationship to be walked all over!

The interaction between the inner circle and Nesta felt increasingly like like they were gas lighting her into believing that she was worthless and being mated to Cassian was something she was not worthy of. They also used her desperate circumstances to further their own agenda at the cost of her well being. Again Cassian was the enabler.

The Hike was the worst. He was punishing her! It was in no way meant to help her! She could've died!

Furthermore his actions towards her were so careless! He often thinks the right thing but never does it!

Even at this point I still hoped that they would get better, maybe Cassian would have another great moment (grovelling) and try to stand on her side. Maybe we would see him confronting Rhys in private. Anything , i would have taken anything.

However, even till the end Cassian remained the same enabler he was in the beginning. Even worse, he believes their actions to be right!

I didn't care much for Nesta before but reading this book really made me feel bad for her. Not only wa she insulted, humiliated, isolated, imprisoned, treated unfairly and with prejudice, she was also in a relationship with someone who enabled all her abuse.

Cassian in this book was a completely different character from the warm hearted, brave and loyal male from the previous books. Where is the man who wanted to spend another life with Nesta??? For someone who claimed his only regret was not being able to spend more time with her, he sure takes her for granted.

The book may have had an happy ending but I felt terrible! I hope this is not their ending and their relationship will have more changes and become more equal.
