A bit confused about the Wishing Crown
Is it just me or is the Crown wildly inconsistent?
So we know the Wishing Crown was made specifically to some a catalyst comet from hitting the planet, only for circumstances to lead to Gunther putting it on and essentially damning anybody that wears it afterwards.
But the thing is, shouldn't the crown have frozen the planet for hundreds of years? Like, multiple times? Farmworld Marceline says that the crown freezes the entire planet when its wearer died, and Muto has gone on record to say that if the crown has a living host, it won't corrupt anyone else- Which means that all the hosts have died and the crown should've repeatedly frozen the planet every time this happens. It'd essentially be a disaster that happened every few centuries or so, but there's absolutely no indication of this happening in any other place than Farmworld, which you'd think would've been worth a comment at some point.
For that matter, it's a bit strange in how inconsistent the Wishing Crown itself is. It gives its wearer powers that are weaker than the elemental it emulates, yet it somehow so insanely powerful that it can still fuse Betty to Golb and give Betty dominance of this fusion (regardless if you believe Golb is slowly reverting or not) while not even Prismo can undo the wish despite being a wishmaster powerful enough to create realities. But the power of the crown in "The Star" isn't strong enough to corrupt Vampire King, who's DEFINITELY much weaker than either Golb or Prismo.
So what gives? Is it just plot convenience or I'm missing something here?
