Is lateral motor movement fine?

I'm working on fixing a KRISS Vector AEG, and I've noticed the motor seems to move around a fair amount (laterally) every time it shoots. I'm guessing this might happen with most guns (you just can't see it cause the pistol grip is covering it), but I'm not using the stock motor and it's having overheating issues, so just wondering if this might be contributing to that problem.
