How would you react if your (male) friend asked you out/made a move on you?

Do you guys think it’d make our friendship awkward if he rejects me? I don’t know what to do, other than just not ask him out. I don’t know anything about his sexuality, which is why I’m more worried about making the friendship weird than getting rejected because the chance of him liking me back is slim. Please don’t respond with “jarvis I’m low on karma”
