How are people still saying that Shadows pales in comparison to Ghost of Tsushima?

They clearly have not seen the gameplay, right?

GoT was beautiful, yes, but Shadows looks great.

There are season's in Shadows, whereas GoT had different weather in the 3 main areas. GoT had quite an empty map in terms of npc. Most places they called a city had like 5 houses. To be fair, the game released on PS4 too and my playstation turned into a jet playing this game, so this is probably one reason why there wasn't a big population in the game. And it also has to be considered that it was set in a much earlier time period. But isn't this especially a reason why Shadows could be really exciting and different? Super populated map with cities that feel like cities? Playing Naoe will most likely also be a different experience when it comes to stealth, compared to Tsushima. Players will be able to use many different weapons and tools in Shadows, whereas GoT lets you play with "only" a katana and a few ghost tools.

I am excited to see, how Ghost of Yotei will improve on Tsushima, mostly, I want to see more dense cities and people. But this doesn't mean that I am not excited to play Shadows as well.

People comparing GoT and Shadows make it sound like, those are the only two Asian themed games we have...

I am sure that Shadows will be great in its own way and has elements that are not in GoT.
