If Duran leaves..

David Ornstein reporting that should bids of >£80m arrive for Jhon Duran, we may be tempted to sell him considering both he and Ollie want to he starting strikers and it's a relatively unsustainable position. I don't disagree - I've believed in Duran from day 1, but I don't think it does Ollie any good if he knows he's coming off at 60' every single game. It's a compromise to try and keep both happy, but I just don't think it's working as of now.

If we sell Duran for £80m, and are able to get Felix + Disasi on loan, I think we're in a stronger position. A mixture of Felix, Bailey, Malen, Ramsey, Rogers behind Watkins is a better position to be in (imo) than more limited support to 1 striker who isn't able to find consistent form due to being in and out of the team.

It's the first time I've really considered the benefits of selling Duran. I love the guy, wanted him to be our #1, but it's just not viable while we have both at the club. Would also give us the opportunity to strengthen even more in the summer, which this season has shown we definitely need.
