Transitioning off Barry’s?
I’ve been doing Barry’s for a bit over a year. Started with Run x Lift and then transitioned to Double Floor this summer bc I started running outside.
I’m now running 4-5x/week outside — and DFing 3x/week to use up my passes from last year’s holiday sale. I’ve also done as much as 4-5x DF/week. I am stronger but disappointingly haven’t lost weight and struggling to trim the waistline. And yes, I keep a pretty clean diet and have gotten even better about it recently.
Part of the reason I started Barry’s was bc I had a hard time sticking to a workout routine but the high sunk cost made me keep going. Now I feel like I am committed enough to working out, at least to running all the time. I’m debating if I do something like a 100 pack (2x/week) or stop Barry’s all together and do strength at home or a lower cost gym option. This is for both cost and potentially schedule reasons. Combined with not seeing the weight and fat-loss gains I’ve been wanting.
Has anyone successfully stopped Barry’s while keeping a strong strength training routine going? What do you do?
