Traveling to the USA, buying a car seat once we land. Recommendations?

Hello, everyone! My husband and I will be traveling next week to the USA (California) from East Asia with our (28 pound) 12 month old and we’re set on purchasing a car seat once we arrive.

We’ll be touring LA to San Francisco, and nearby areas like Anaheim, Monterey, Sonoma and Napa Valley. For half of our trip, we have a tour guide and coaster booked, and for the other half we’ll be using Uber/Lyft to get around on our own.

Any good recommendations for a good travel car seat that could best fit our trip? Most probably lightweight that we can easily lug around between sightseeing and Uber rides. We’ll be using it for just 3 weeks and will be bringing it home with us.
