Eating around baby

My LO is almost 4 months. Do you eat around your LO - and if so, do you wash your hands afterwards before touching them?

My daughter loves to “eat” her hands now and I’m so afraid to eat something like nuts and then touch her hands by accident.

I was eating a Christmas sugar cookie before and touched her hands. Now her cheeks seem very red and I’m paranoid that she might be reacting to one of the ingredients.

Any experience or insight on this would be appreciated. I have a feeling this is just anxiety and not logical thinking on my part.
