Baby sleeps better with dad next to her instead of me

I am perplexed. My 3mo old (EBF) hit a sleep regression these past 2 weeks and was waking every 1-2 hours. She was in a routine that caused her to wake 2-3 times through the night before this and I would feed her and she would pass back out pretty easily. During the regression, I would feed her, she would knock out but then wake up and cry if I put her down. I was at my wits end and mentally not doing well, I told my husband and he told me to go have a night with my friends and he would take care of the baby. I thought why not, I wouldn’t be sleeping either way (girl math idk). Tell me why this baby slept through the night with her dad next to her??? The next night, I got my usual spot back and she woke up ever 2-3 hours. Today, we tried switching again and it’s 4:20AM and she’s still asleep 🫠 Confused. I think I gave birth to a bloodhound if she smells milk from that far. But happy that it works.
