How do I manage spending too much money while manic

I’m recently diagnosed as severe bipolar one. I do know that when I’m manic I can’t help but spend money and rationalize it. It’s almost like a compulsive habit. Does anyone else deal with this? I don’t wanna cause money problems for me and my husband because I can’t control myself.
