B650M mobo - My final choice boils down to these two models

Hi all. Please notice the "M" in B650M, as in "microATX". Thank you.

After lots of thinking, here are the two finalists (at least among all the currently available models). No other models allowed here.

Long story short, I can't seem to make up my mind between these two finalists:

Asus TUF Gaming B650M-Plus

or

Gigabyte B650M Aorus Elite AX

I have already compared the two quite thoroughly (e.g. specs: number of ports, etc). As far as I can tell, nothing is really significant for my use.

  • For instance I don't really care if one has 8 USB and the other has 12. 8 is enough for me.
  • Same thing about the VRMs: I'll be using a Ryzen 7700 non-X which I don't intend to OC. And DDR5 5600 or 6000 MT/s.
  • Some little things can be annoying. For example the Aorus doesn't have 5.1 analog out. But since it has S/PDIF out, it kinda makes up for it.

I would love to hear arguments about longevity, stability, ease of use, recovery in case of crash, etc.

  • Longevity is very important for me (my current rig is 13 y.o.)
  • As for stability, I don't care about past issues (such as Asus' "burned CPUs" thing, or a similar issue on Gigabyte side). Let's assume that by the time I start using the card, AGESA 1.0.0.9 will be out.

Thanks in advance!
