Am I rushing the introduction of a new kitty?

Hi everyone!

Its day 4 of me trying to introduce my resident kitty (11 month female) to our new kitty (7 month male). I do feel they’ve adjusted quite well so far. They’ve both swapped spaces, are eating near one another, with a door between them.

I know my resident kitty is adjusts well to meeting new people and animals. She is curious and adventurous, so I think maybe that’s why she may be adjusting quickly. I’ve already been getting them in the same room as each other, distracting and playing separately 5 or so minutes my resident kitty will start doing the stare down and that’s when I take her away.

I’m not planning to do anything more, just continue the same thing so they become more and more comfortable. Just wondering what you think about the timing, if I am rushing it? How long did it take you to introduce cats to each other? Thank you!
