CMU Data Analytics for Science (MS-DAS) Inquiry

I was recently accepted into CMU's MS-DAS and I'm just curious as to how it compares to other data science / computer science programs. I'm finding no information online. It appears to be more geared toward science-related undergrads who have less experience in CS, however I have a strong computer science background and am looking to go into AI/ML research. If anyone could also give me more info for the faculty and resources that would also be much appreciated (DAS is in the college of sciences, while the more traditional MCDS is in the college of computer science). Additionally, would I be able to transfer into a MCDS or a computer science graduate program? Lastly, as someone who is given the choice between this program and MSCS programs at other schools, is the name value and reputation of CMU enough to choose it over others?
