Osende knallerter væk fra cykelstierne! / Oozing mopeds away from the bike paths!
Hi all, would like to share the following:
The Copenhagen proposal "Osende mopeds away from cycle paths!" has now been published and can collect votes from resident Copenhageners.
Mopeds pollute 7 times more than a passenger car and run right on top of many cyclists on the cycle path.
It is very unpleasant and the damage caused by air pollution to cyclists is maximized as it is very close and cyclists breathe in deeply.
At the same time, it is a problem that mopeds create insecurity for e.g. children who have to learn to ride a bike.
Therefore: ban mopeds on cycle paths!
The speed on the road surface has now been lowered to 40 or 30 km/h, so it is a unique opportunity to get the mopeds out there on the road.
We know it can be done, because the municipality has banned mopeds, for example, along the Lakes.
If it is not possible to ban them everywhere, then Copenhagen should ban them on all super cycle paths (e.g. Jagtvej, which is mostly just super narrow and super polluted).
