What did you guys think of the new episode?
Personally I liked it a lot. Gonna include some spoilers in this post. I think I agree with the take away they had that it's an allegory for past abuse and overcoming trauma. However there were some issues that I had with it. I feel like there are a lot of loose ends like Connie and commander meat being dog like which I wish was explored more because that's super scary. I also feel like the "staring directly into my eyes/the camera" was overplayed and eventually stopped being scary to me and after enough times got me laughing. I also really thought the person in the trunk was going to be a plot point when the main character got into the car at the end. I think my biggest complaint is that there were too many ideas and it feels like the author got overwhelmed with the amount of things going on and wasn't sure how to tie it all together.
BUT I overall really liked it. One of the best dream-like atmospheres I've ever read. It had a lot of tense scary moments that played out really well and I absolutely love some of the imagery and the setting/theme being old internet/old internet cafe. I wish there was an inception like top spinning moment at the end but maybe that would be too cliche.
Anyways I'd love to hear what other people thought
