Getting off the apps - Experiences?

48M. Been on three apps for a while on premium accounts. Have they been worth it? Hard to say. I’ve had a few dates and had a little fun, but it’s been dealing with a lot of scammers and fake accounts, and only a few actual people.

Think of just letting the apps lapse into free mode, and exploring Meetup, local events, Adult Ed, etc. Just wondering what your off-app experiences have been. I’m adjacent to a major metropolitan area, but kind of in a small town area.
