Help!!

I have such a hard time starting new paintings and it actually gives me anxiety. What steps does everyone do when starting a new one? I don't know where to start or how many colors I need. I don't know if I'm over thinking it or what but I have so many paintings and I can't start any of them because I don't know what/how to. If anyone has any tips or tricks, I would greatly appreciate it!!!
