Seeking Feedback on My Dividend Portfolio
Hello r/dividends community!
I’m a 40-year-old European investor looking to build a robust dividend portfolio, and I’d love to get your feedback on my current holdings and strategy.
A bit about me:
Age: 40M
Background: Recently reallocated part of my Bitcoin gains into a dividend-focused portfolio.
Investment Focus: Primarily on income rather than growth, as I’m aiming to live off the yield in the near future.
Yield Goal: Targeting a dividend yield of about 7% (currently at approximately 6.8%).
Current Portfolio: I’ve allocated equal weight to the following 14 individual stocks:
TSLX
CWEN A
BEPC
NNN
WPC
VZ
VICI
O
MO
MAIN
ENB
CSWC
BTI
ARCC
Challenges & Considerations:
As a European investor, I’m unable to invest in most high-yield ETFs. However, I do have access to UCITS versions of JEPI and JEPQ, which I’m considering adding to my portfolio with equal weighting to my current individual stocks.
Closed-End Funds (CEF): Also unable to invest.
Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs): Although companies like MPLX and EPD seem promising, I’m avoiding MLPs due to their high tax burden for people outside the US (around 30%).
Potential Additions:
SILA and HTGC are on my radar, but I’m concerned that my portfolio might be leaning too heavily towards Business Development Companies (BDCs) and Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs).
Questions for the Community:
Do you think my portfolio is overly concentrated in BDCs and REITs? If so, how might I diversify further while maintaining a high yield?
Are there other dividend stocks or UCITS ETFs you’d recommend to help me reach my 7% yield goal without compromising too much on risk?
Any other insights or recommendations to improve my dividend strategy would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you in advance for your time and feedback!
