Is it bad?

I buyed it yesterday, the lady at the store told me the farina was "Just dust" and To remove it. Its my first echeveria ever so i didnt knew, but i did my researches only today and i Feel so dumb! Is it dangerous To have the farina removed (with a Q-tips and a bit of tap water)? Is my plant going To get sick? Its already making a baby under the leaves so i dont want it to die 😭
