Edc vip upgrade

Looking for advice. Anyone upgrade to vip at EDC? I have a weekend pass ga+ right now. I just realized most of my friends have vip. I messed up lol

When I reached out to insomniac, they said I'd have to forfeit my ga+ off of the layaway plan, they would do a refund. I'd would have to buy the vip outright.. which is a pretty hefty bill.. wish there was a way to upgrade on layaway.. anywho.

So just wondering: have you upgraded on site? Is it cheaper to do there/ how much has it cost before?
