Can lattice degeneration due to myopia be healed by reducing the diopters through Endmyopia?

for about -4 spherical in both eyes & -2 cylinder in both eyes as well...

Will the thinning of the retina heal if the elongation of the eye is reduced? or Should one get barrage laser treatment?
