Controversial thoughts about why I have endo

This topic may spark some debate, and I certainly don't intend to upset anyone, but it's something I've thought about regarding the origins of endometriosis. While I know that many women find relief from endometriosis symptoms through birth control, I'm curious about how many of us with this condition were on birth control before developing it? Personally, I suspect that my decade long use of birth control from ages 19 to 29 contributed to my current struggle. I can't help but wonder if I hadn't altered my hormones at such a young age, I might not be facing these challenges now. But I’m sure there are also women out there with endometriosis who have never used birth control?
