You know what feels weird.

Not sure if this belongs here or not, but I feel that some of you may have the same feelings around this that I do.

I got married in 2008. And got divorced in 2022. I was true blue Mormon through and through. Went on a mission, married to the temple, the whole deal. I left the church about 10 years ago, and stayed in an unhappy marriage for a long time until finally separating a couple years ago. I threw my garments away a long time ago, and really did not have any emotion around it. However, today while going through clothes to give to Goodwill, I found the suit that I was married in (not technically, but you know what I mean). It was a custom-made suit and it was beautiful. I would have kept it, however, since I got married, I’ve lost about 40 pounds and I don’t think there’s a Taylor in the world that could fix the suit to fit my new body style.

Anyway, I had a lot of emotion around it. Much more than I had when I threw away my garments or my scriptures or my temple clothes or anything having to do with the church. Unclear what those emotions were. Anxious or sad or heavy or disturbed. It’s not that I feel bad about it, it’s just an odd feeling is all.

Like I said, not sure if this belongs here and it’s really just a rant with some feelings mixed in.

Thanks for listening.
