Being a part-time hijabi is... Interesting?
Lately after I moved to Rwanda (from Sudan) for studying I've been planning to stop wearing the hijab, I was forced to wear it since I was 7 so suddenly taking it off made me feel vulnerable and exposed, so I decided to just be a part time hijabi till I feel comfortable enough to completely stop wearing it
The problem is my Muslim classmates got confused, seeing me one day with jeans and a t shirt and the next day with a long baggy dress and a hijab, it made them think that I was actually trying to repent to Islam again and that I'm trying to slowly commit to wearing the hijab, which is the exact opposite from what I'm trying to do
But I'm not going to address anything to them, I'm not going to correct them, they are not entitled to how I dress
I'll just keep being me, and one day I'll be a full time non hijabi like how I've always wanted to
