12 hours post op, pain is excruciating

I am 12 hours postop from my gastric sleeve and the pain is literally excruciating. I’ve never felt anything like this in my life. When I was in the recovery room I was literally screaming bloody murder and begging for morphine.

Every single post I see online is from people saying that recovery for the first few days wasn’t that bad and the pain was manageable and nausea was bad. However my pain is horrendous. I’m so confused why my experience is different and I feel terribly unprepared.

is something wrong ?has anyone else gone through this ?

Please help, I’m literally in my hospital bed in near tears.
